The Tower 07:07
The Tower- the sun has fallen shards of light dying from sight shadows come calling under the shroud of night ages drift like snowflakes and melt quicker each time youth, the price that time takes it's memory sublime my hands, twin maps of pain the blame all mine to bear alone in the wind and the rain with no one left to care count down the days dreaming of the ways that i might be free gazing to the skies through old tired eyes tower release me onward and up i go one jagged rock each time the lash strikes one more blow enslaved, yet i climb time blurs away reason behind this curse of mine this tower, this prison oh lord, give me a sign praise be to mercy heaven still too high all crumbles around me washed away in the sky
2.
Among the Liars- condemned i am falling just like hope on the floor lying in rot, decaying with me all the lies eyes that dissect, flay me down bare to shiver alone where i find myself standing in cold judgment words spat as venom under a bloodless glare their hate coming in waves but dwarfed by my own encircled by those guiltier than i poisons the blood in my veins you will find them in the ruins of humanity i lie among the liars drowning in disdain choking on hypocrisy but dying all the same scarred eyes rise up seething with cruelty they know snapping with madness to burn them all away and down fall the liars searing them blind like they deserve a penance of death for all only in my mind
3.
Winter Moon 05:00
Winter Moon- a cold grey, lifeless star staring down unto the world midnight eternal beckons the whisper sordid tales of our death full of hope full of promise our fate buried for none to see still they refuse silence echoes the death-throes of our world swallowed by our hollow black sun this winter moon lost all the traces of the ages every dream cast in the sea met a lonely frozen end the last road to discovery lies in death
4.
Gardens 04:06
Gardens- landscape of misery draped in decay gardens of the grotesque withered dismay entombed in silence enslaved by forever drowned in the ages suffocating together landscape of ashes blurring the day gardens we inherit wasted away whispers of the end roll across our shore poisoned souls of the earth fueled by the lust of war devouring itself hatred is bled plague for all the ages mankind is dead
5.
The Bridge 02:48
The Bridge- there she is once again shining light in the dark all i need is a glimpse of her it unfurls an ocean the space is eternal our void wreathed in silence but those moments in time belong to none but us there she goes once again lost to me one more time crumbling to the bridge i stain with my tears eyes alight ignite desire bathe our flesh in it's fire unspoken need in our hearts but the bridge still holds us apart
6.
Horizons 04:32
the ocean I) horizons my horizons lie across the sea setting out into the mystery waves break in a crash above us the unbroken skies as we sail into the night on a vessel to new lives and inside my heart flies the sprawling ocean has called out to me whispering since the threshold of my memory cresting whitecaps, the ebb and flow and the undertow now home at last the sound of the sea a lullaby each rolling night as i close my eyes freedom on the ocean far from the world we know from atop a mast, i can see past forever my only sorrow lies away from the sea i adore where my love was left on the lonely shore waves break in a crash she gave her heart to me until the collapse of eternity and now my heart dies as the storm comes to life now the skies ahead have bled away their guiding light the sea that would give us our future may take it away and from the mast i can no longer see past forever
7.
The Storm 03:49
II) the storm storm breaks the morning sky thunder cracks away at my faith and dread makes it's home in my heart wind and rain grind down again the ocean has turn on us pulling our resolve to pieces in the calm before the storm raging out across the sea the swells to much for me to handle i break your ship to splinters hold strong now my lady please fighting back will do no good she is broke we are sinking it's over now fall to me can't hold out abandon ship another falls to my will fading fast my limbs gone numb feeds the ocean deep can't hold on my life is gone as the waves pull me down and i can hear no sound as the tide pulls me to sea my love remember...
8.
III) below the surface my horizons are no longer above the sea below the surface the storm has gone for me adrift in the ebb and flow and the undertow in the quiet hand of the sea the waves wash over me and still i cling to her her memory, my only comfort for my eyes no longer see gazing to the depths in regret i never should have left the other half of me my tears fade in the ocean the sorrow of a million lost souls in the quiet of the sea

about

This is a re-recording of the album we made 10 years ago.
We were not pleased with how the original recording and mix sounded.
So we made changes, threw out one song and hopefully people who know this album will think it's better now!
At that time, we were called A Thousand Suns, but by the time we were finished with "The Great Darkness" we needed to change our name. So we thought it was appropriate to call this album A Thousand Suns.
